Leicester transfer news and talk: Mvogo, Nelson, Hatate
There are three pieces of Leicester City transfer speculation to cover on Tuesday. The stories concern Yvon Mvogo of Lorient, Arsenal's Reiss Nelson and Reo Hatate of Celtic. Will any of the trio be heading to King Power Stadium this summer?
Potential outgoing chatter is also prevalent in the Foxes sphere at present. Danish goalkeeper Daniel Iversen is at the centre of gossip. Sheffield United and Derby County supposedly want Iversen, who now has a price tag. Will the Dane leave Leicester? He probably should have already been sold.
Leicester City goalkeeper edges nearer to exit
Iversen is seemingly unwanted by newly appointed Leicester manager Steve Cooper. Just as the stopper was surplus to requirements under Enzo Maresca. That didn't stop director of football Jon Rudkin presumably stubbornly rejecting any reasonable offers.
The LCFC bosses should absolutely take the best offer for Iversen this offseason. Obviously it would have been better for player and club if an agreement was reached in 2023. He's been on loan at Stoke City, Preston North End and Rotherham United
Anyway, Leicester have apparently placed a valuation on the 27-year-old. He is currently only worth £1.5 million to the east Midlands team. Though admirers Sheffield United reportedly consider that amount to high. Midlands rivals Derby are also said to be unsure over the quoted fee.
Iversen showed some promise at Leicester when given the opportunity under Brendan Rodgers. He is a good shot-stopper. Though the former's kicking and some mistakes left much to be desired when considering the impact and influence of contemporary No.1 Mads Hermansen.
The latest Foxes transfer rumours
Let's begin with Yvon Mvogo, the Switzerland international 'keeper. He plays for Lorient in France and is 30 years old. Celtic are now ostensibly out of the equation regarding a move for the goalie.
Of course, The Hoops acquired Leicester legend Kasper Schmeichel recently. Meanwhile Mvogo is available for a fair price, it is claimed. This is due to having a mere year remaining on his existing contract with the Stade du Moustoir side.
Next up is Reiss Nelson. I have revealed before that I think this would be such a positive transfer for City that our wish may just not be granted. Excuse my negativity.
LCFC might compete with West Ham United for the winger's signature. A deal is yet to be arranged; a prospective transfer is not regarded as imminent in this situation. But Leicester could be making a move elsewhere:
"Newly-promoted Leicester City are reportedly interested in signing Celtic and Japan midfielder Reo Hatate this summer, according to the Daily Mail"
