We have further Leicester City transfer rumours to digest on Tuesday. And this time speculation concerns potential outgoing Foxes on Filbert Way. Will young midfielder Sammy Braybrooke, out of favour striker Tom Cannon and centreback Ben Nelson all respectively leave King Power Stadium. And are the trio targeted for permanent deals, or temporary switches?

Meanwhile there is a look ahead to the League Cup match against Tranmere Rovers. Will LCFC manager Steve Cooper make many changes to the east Midlands side as Leicester face the Football League Two team? Usually there is a run out and a chance for youth and lesser players to impress their gaffers in matches such as the midweek clash.

Leicester City entertain Tranmere in the cup

King Power plays host to a lower league side this week. Tranmere will hope to contest a weakened Leicester starting lineup, and that is exactly what Foxes of Leicester predict. The Merseyside are currently 12th in division three, for all intents and purposes.

Therefore I am unsure that the away club will be able to withstand even the second string LCFC XI and its substitutes. Danny Ward or Daniel Iversen could come into goal with Mads Hermansen generally so dominant as No.1. Jakub Stolarczyk is ruled out through injury.

Caleb Okoli and Ricardo Pereira will almost undoubtedly play respective roles in the fixture. Both will be feeling hard done by that they aren't in at the start of EPL clashes. Luke Thomas is likely to receive his maiden opportunity under the former Nottingham Forest gaffer.

Up-and-coming Foxes such as Will Alves, Sammy Braybrooke, Ben Nelson and Tom Cannon would have been eager to test themselves and catch Cooper's eye against Rovers. However, there is a chance that none of them feature in the domestic competition. But more on that later.

Elsewhere, I'll be looking for midfielders Oliver Skipp and Michael Golding. Not to mention winger Stephy Mavididi, who has lost his place to Bobby De Cordova-Reid.

Exiting Foxes pending?

The transfer market is active until Friday, August 30. After 11pm on that date, no Premier League moves can be made. So City bosses must act fast if they are in fact serious about targeting a goalscorer. Another one is definitely needed.

Either way, some Leicester starlets are supposedly off. Nelson might join Bristol City on loan. Braybrooke will temporarily switch to Dundee FC. While Sunderland have offered £5 million for Cannon. Cooper also hinted at a loan for Alves.
