According to a report, well-known actor Robert Pattinson and famous singer Louis Tomlinson are contenders to portray Jamie Vardy in the footballer's eventual Hollywood movie. Even Zac Efron is in the frame, if we believe reports.

To be truthful, Jamie Vardy is so charismatic, comical, media-trained and entertaining that he'd probably do a wonderful job of playing himself in a film. That's partly why the most significant movie industry in the world, situated on the United States' west coast, has taken an interest.

The other prerequisite factors in this case are fascination, amusement and an unfathomably amazing true storyline: Leicester's Premier League title-win. Football media on this level is often trite and placates to the masses. Let's hope that this sports movie is of the standard of White Men Can't Jump (1992) or Mike Bassett: England Manager (2001).

I'm not sure football supporters cross-over with typical Pattinson and Tomlinson fans. They are usually mutually exclusive or often incompatible/incomparable fan bases. But the former England international deserves the biggest viewership available: the two heartthrobs may enable that situation.

I am aware that Louis Tomlinson, 32, is supposedly a big fan of Doncaster Rovers. Therefore he would surely understand the trials and tribulations of supporting a relatively smaller club. Although, us Foxes have been spoilt by our contemporary success. There is a partial likeness between the One Direction man and the sportsman.

Ironically, I was very entertained by Pattinson in an unusual role. A part for which he received criticism for his French accent: the Dauphin, in the amazing flick The King. In spite of some unfair and highly critical comments, that feature was astonishingly underrated.

Why I mention The King, is mainly for this reason: Pattinson is a very likeable Pantomime-esque villain in the production. And Vardy, the Leicester icon, has been a loveable and goalscoring rogue at King Power Stadium for years now.

Even the away support, or home faithfuls when City travel, seem to begrudgingly admire or possibly secretly revere the great striker. Obviously that admiration naturally comes in the abstract or veiled form of abuse; Vardy is himself never shy of joyfully irritating the crowd.

Tom Felton is another notable actor suggested as in the running to play the 37-year-old. He is most fondly remembered for the Harry Potter film series, of course. Zac Efron is another wildly prominent name in that world linked with the unmade picture at the moment. The thrilling proposal of Aaron Paul (Jesse in Breaking Bad) was made by the main article I read.
