Maresca set to raid Leicester for star Fox as ex-PL manager pair linked with job
Former Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca is supposedly set to raid his old club for a star Fox. The heavily in demand player may not be simple to prise away from LCFC.
Meanwhile Foxes of Leicester give our opinions on two Ex-Premier League bosses, both of whom have been separately linked with the top job on Filbert Way. Would either of the names, who are more synonymous with lower league management, suit the King Power team?
Pair of one-time PL gaffers on Foxes' radar?
Lots of people seem to want the vacant position at Leicester. And why not: the club is ultra successful in the modern era. There may not be an ample budget for every taste, but a lot can always be achieved at LCFC.
The latest manager connected with the Foxes - after Maurizio Sarri, Carlos Corberan and Steve Cooper - is Luton Town's Rob Edwards. In addition to that, Steve Bruce has also made himself available for Khun Top Srivaddhanaprabha's approval.
Edwards won some admirers through his demeanour and brand of football in the English top-flight last season. Ultimately it didn't work, but there was much to like at Kenilworth Road in 2023/24. I am unsure as to his suitability for Leicester, to be honest. Whereas I don't think Bruce is the right man at all. He is seemingly a nice guy, but let's leave it at that.
Enzo Maresca predictably after Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
This news - or, more accurately, speculation - will not go down well with the Blue Army. Most of whom probably haven't gotten used to the fact that the Italian departed the east Midlands outfit so swiftly to begin with.
After one successful campaign at City, Maresca left us without a boss. Now the former Manchester City coach apparently wants to steal the best current LCFC footballer. Oh dear.
You many disagree with me regarding the view that Dewsbury-Hall is the standout star at Leicester. Yet you cannot deny his class, nor his influence on the Foxes side. Neither can anyone argue that Chelsea prospectively trying to sign the 25-year-old will ruffle a few feathers at the King Power. To say the least.
Obviously there are a plethora of EPL players the Blues could target. There are even more promising along with prominent midfielders in Europe. However the quality of 'KDH', which Maresca knows as well as anyone, might perhaps have transpired against the Foxes this time.
"Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who was brilliant under Maresca at the King Power is top of his list to replace Gallagher."
