According to a report, streaming service giants Netflix and Amazon Prime Video will battle it out for rights to air the upcoming Jamie Vardy documentary. When is the veteran Leicester City star's project expected to land? And what other information about the film, if any, is out there?

Meanwhile new Foxes boss Steve Cooper seemed a little worried, or irritated, during a recent interview. The former Nottingham Forest head coach was speaking of prospective transfers. The chat followed the King Power outfit's friendly game against Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday evening. Will Cooper get the signings the LCFC side seemingly so desperately require in order to maintain Premier League status? And which position does the Welshman consider most important to strengthen?

Steve Cooper appeared slightly stressed when discussing Leicester City's current transfer window and needs

After his fresh Leicester team managed to defeat a preseason Shrewsbury side 2-1, Cooper spoke to the press. As always during the offseason - along with in January - potential additions were on the agenda question-wise.

BBC Sport talked with the ex-Forest gaffer, who certainly feels like someone who cares deeply about his role. Cooper is also a passionate footballing man, by all appearances past and present. The Blue Army will be pleased by that aspect.

Anyway, the outlet noted that Leicester were indeed tracking Juventus up-and-comer Matias Soule. However, as Foxes of Leicester reported on Wednesday, the Argentine attacker is nearing a move to Roma. Soule disappointed a host of English top-flight clubs in the process.

In the meantime, Cooper admits that the Foxes definitely need to acquire further personnel. And those players must be of the appropriate standard; a specific profile must be secured, rather than particular positions reinforced.

That previous statement is a rather curious comment. Is the 44-year-old aiming for a system akin to Pep Guardiola's at Manchester City? A style where versatile, ultra-competent footballers can switch positions and cover various areas during matches. Cooper has employed quite busy methods in the his earlier career with several teams. I would possibly suggest simplicity instead.

Regarding transfers, a mildly strained sounding Cooper began by saying this: "We definitely have to bring players in - everybody knows that". He followed with the words below:

"Sometimes it's not easy to do and I understand that as well. You've got to bring the right players in.

But we've got to make sure when that first game comes we're in with a chance of being able to what we need to do in the Premier League.

It's not as clear as saying we need players in this and that position... there are certain profiles of players and attributes we need and I'm clear on that.

I'm not going to say we need x amount of players because if you get more it sounds like there's no plan. There's a clear plan and hopefully we can get a few signings over the line and like all managers say, the quicker, the better."

Netflix and Amazon want coming Jamie Vardy feature on their respective platforms

There is supposedly a high profile Vardy doc on the way. This should be an interesting one, although no release date was mentioned:

"The Rooneys aren’t the only football couple on the brink of returning to our screens. According to reports, Jamie Vardy has also landed a huge documentary deal celebrating his success at Leicester City... with the cameras reportedly preparing to follow him around during the final year of his contract at the club.
Jamie’s wife Rebekah, 42, is also expected to star in the one- off documentary. And given the attention that swirled around her after the Wagatha trial with Coleen two years ago and her subsequent TV appearances, she’s no stranger to the cameras. Apparently, production has already started on the film, with Netflix and Prime Video both looking to snap up the footage"
