QPR v Leicester: These Foxes Must Start
The English CB
With Danish central defender Jannik Vestergaard suspended for two matches following a yellow card in the Leeds United fixture, a clear choice is ahead of Maresca. Either play Ben Nelson in that central position of the back three Leicester take up in possession, or Conor Coady. And the answer is… finally… Coady.
After a devastating injury in pre-season kept the new signing out of the side, Vestergaard established himself as the other revived player under the head coach. Leicester City’s Coady does not fit the other backline roles, so has been limited in appearances. Now is the chance he needed.
With a wide passing range, a composure on the ball, a commanding voice, and a breadth of experience, Conor Coady is a perfect fit to be at our core at the back keeping Choudhury and probably James Justin in check. The player will help us recycle possession and progress the ball in a variety of ways.
