Ruud van Nistelrooy will only be without one player for Leicester vs Man United. At least injuries can't be an excuse, right?
Leicester City are having a season to forget. Despite looking impressive in the first half of the season, the Foxes have completely gone off-track in recent months. Now, they can't seem to put a win together. For context, the Foxes are without a win in their last five Premier League matches and we'd have to stretch back to January for the last win.
Remarkably, that win did come against one of the "big six", in Tottenham Hotspur. It's not like Spurs have covered themselves in glory this season but don't take the win away from the Foxes, who haven't done so either.
Anyway, if Leicester can make a habit out of beating the underperforming big sides, then it could serve them well in the upcoming game. Yep, the Foxes come up against Man United, who are having a worse season (relatively speaking) than Leicester and Spurs combined.
Massive injury boost for Leicester vs Man United
If Man United's poor form wasn't enough of a boost for Ruud van Nistelrooy, then he'll be glad to have received some positive injury news in the buildup. Indeed, he'll almost have a clean bill of health. We have to take these marginal gains where we can.
According to Jordan Blackwell of the Leicester Mercury, Ruud van Nistelrooy can call upon every player except for Abdul Fatawu. Fatawu is nursing an unfortunate ACL injury, so he is ruled out until the end of the season. Other than Fatawu, though, we seemingly have the all-clear ahead of Sunday's fixtures.
So, no injuries equals no excuses, right? Certainly, the Red Devils are there for the taking. It seems weird to say this given Leicester's position and Man United's pedigree, but this is one of those games we'd be disappointed not to come out with three points.
