Leicester City have money and restriction issues when it comes to the transfer market at present. Therefore loans, cheap options and free agents are vital at King Power Stadium. But it is seemingly slim pickings for the Foxes judging by the Premier League's free transfer list.

Improvise

City must be creative when funding prospective transfers this summer because a host of Foxes stars and backup men will almost certainly leave King Power Stadium during the offseason. Hopefully, LCFC will find or create innovative ways of signing players. Loans are always an appealing option for clubs suffering from funding issues as well as restrictive parameters.

Finding veterans who aren't seeking a final great payoff is another possibility for the East Midlands side too. While there may be cheap but exciting prospects arriving at King Power Stadium too. LCFC have constantly unearted and polished gems in recent history, and that staple should be utilised greatly once more. In truth, City might not be allowed to spend any money (if any exists) so they must employ ingenuity.

Another area to explore is the vast free agents lists from Europe's top rated five divisions. Not to mention former stars or up-and-coming footballers from lower leagues who are no longer with teams. Free transfers, although they often involve hefty signing fees for athletes, are arguably LCFC's first port of call in this instance. Have we noticed any promising possibilities from the Premier League before preseason gets underway?

From the list of many available players, I have only selected eight for Leicester to examine. First of all, West Ham United quartet Aaron Cresswell, Lukasz Fabianski, Vladimir Coufal and Danny Ings are worth a look at to fill the Foxes bench.

Craig Dawson, formerly of Wolverhampton Wanderers, has my vote as a potential Leicester understudy. Once Tottenham Hotspur left back Sergio Reguilon would arguably be an upgrade on Victor Kristiansen.

Ex-Chelsea goalkeeper Lucas Bergstrom shows promise; he and Fabianski could cover Jakub Stolarczyk. Finally, if Ruud van Nistelrooy stays, he could eye former Fulham and PSV Eindhoven striker Carlos Vinicius.
