It has been nearly two weeks now since Leicester City's horrid Championship season was finally put out of its misery at Blackburn Rovers.
Back-to-back relegations were officially confirmed at the full-time whistle of the Ewood Park showdown, and although the Foxes did win 1-0, this was only a temporary respite from the stinging pain of another demotion.
It has been rather quiet on the Foxes front since that final day win in Lancashire, as plans are surely beginning to whir into motion behind the scenes, ahead of a critical League One campaign.
Big decisions need to be made at Leicester
Big decisions do need to be made, as the current malaise that has engulfed Leicester needs to be lifted, for an immediate promotion back to the second tier to be on the cards.
Ultimately, the correct call here would be to relieve Gary Rowett of his duties after he could muster only two wins when coming in as a promised firefighter figure, which led to Leicester falling to League One without much of a fight.
Linked now with a managerial move for Karel Geraerts, who has just been relieved of his own duties from French side Reims, it is pivotal that the Foxes hierarchy get this next managerial appointment spot on, so they don't accidentally become swamped in the third tier for too long.
There also needs to be an overhaul of the playing personnel, with far too many players looking rusty, fatigued, and arguably unbothered by the state of the club, namely Harry Winks.
Patson Daka looks set to leave on a free transfer at the expiry of his contract, too, so that's one bit of deadwood who will leave the building shortly.
But, there is another flop in the King Power ranks who is even being tipped to return to the Championship in the summer transfer window, despite a dire campaign just gone.
The Leicester flop who is being tipped to join Birmingham
Leicester and Birmingham, despite their geographical closeness, couldn't be in further away worlds when it comes to matters on the pitch.
Indeed, the Blues are ultra ambitious, and will be eyeing up a Premier League promotion next season, after a respectable mid-table finish last time out. Leicester, on the other hand, are a tired outfit, wth owners who are dragging the club into the mud, as they look to desperately exit League One at the first time of asking.
Hamza Choudhury would no doubt be keen on a switch to St. Andrew's if the opportunity arose, with BirminghamLive journalist Alex Dicken tipping the Bangladeshi international to make the move in the summer.
Leicester will be up for the idea of cashing in, as well, as Choudhury's presence at the King Power does feel rather stale right now.
Failing to score a single goal or assist last season as the Foxes succumbed to the drop, Choudhury - who is on alleged pay packet of £50k-per-week - just looked frustrated and lost for the large majority of the campaign, with it all coming to a head away at Portsmouth, when Rowett's men lost a crucial relegation match 1-0, as he angrily interacted with Pompey supporters from the bench.
For his sake, he would likely jump at an opportunity to leave his long-term employers behind, as he could sour his reputation even more at the Foxes, if he were to struggle in League One.
Birmingham would be able to give him another luxurious wage, too, if Dicken's words become a reality, as a new-look Leicester side takes to the field in the third tier in August, with a fresh manager also barking out orders from the sidelines.
