The truth about the Sean Dyche to Leicester rumours

Ruud van Nistelrooy has taken an increasing amount of flack for how Leicester City have performed of late. You'd have to say, certainly at this point, that the Dutchman is being justifiably criticised. He's not identifying issues in the Foxes side nor subsequently addressing or solving them. Then there is the annoying team selection. Chiefly, van Nistelrooy failed to change a losing starting lineup or drop inconsequential poor performers.

But we all know RvN is not the only problem or difficulty on Filbert Way. Obviously the east Midlands club is badly run and has been for some time. Therefore chairman Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha is rightly under scrutiny. Not to mention his seemingly immortal director of football Jon Rudkin getting so much wrong to the impairment of squad progress. Appointing incorrect managers, mishandling finances, breaking rules and signing inferior personnel are the main contentious elements.

Finally the LCFC players in general have not been up to Premier League standards. Mostly, they have let themselves, the fans and the club down. In spite of much of the roster not being at a level to compete in the English top flight, they are a good enough unit to survive. If all were pulling in the same direction in unison under a qualified boss, they could steal 17th position.

So will the powers that be at City dismiss RvN and appoint another gaffer? Is van Nistelrooy close to the sack from what we know and is currently reported? And who may be installed if the ex-Manchester United man is relieved of duty?

Truth about Sean Dyche to Leicester City rumours with Ruud van Nistelrooy under pressure

From what we can tell, van Nistelrooy is safe. Top apparently told players that sacking and hiring a third head coach is out of the question. And hearsay concerning Dyche joining is just that at present, irrespective of supporter speculation:

"Some Leicester fans still reeling from their humiliating 4-0 defeat to Brentford on Friday night have called for Sean Dyche to come in and replace head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy"
