The entire Blue Army, if not the whole footballing world, are acutely aware of the awful plight currently consuming Leicester City Football Club. Were it not for the unwavering 'good faith' of the Srivaddhanaprabha family in the LCFC bank, current chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha (known to the faithful as Top) would likely have been forced out of Leicestershire long ago.
The currently questionable ownership and its floundering executive board have not merely overseen a dreaded, successive drop down two divisions. Oh no. They have unintentionally engineered the systematic dismantling of a remarkably poor squad that they misassembled to begin with (yeah, it's a word!).
Rather paradoxically, Foxes fans remain unbothered that such an unlikeable team is being disassembled, for obvious reasons. The LE2 supporters would naturally prefer a sweeping rebuild in the EFL Championship or the Premier League, rather than the daunting prospect of evolution in League One.
An unfortunate situation complicates this necessity, as there are but one or two truly standout senior players remaining at King Power Stadium. Sadly, the individuals in charge must now sacrifice these few remaining assets to balance their unbalanced books whilst attempting to fund an entirely new side.
Selling Leicester City's most valuable
Two assets stand out in this desperate commercial shuffle: young winger Jeremy Monga and dynamic attacker Abdul Fatawu. Monga is reportedly nearing an exit to Arsenal for a fee between £10 million and £15m.
Meanwhile Fatawu has been linked with various clubs, including a connection to West Ham United once more. Yet significant doubt must be expressed regarding the primary source purveying this presumed hearsay regarding the Ghanaian winger at present.

Deal agreed between clubs yesterday - 2nd most expensive sale in #LeagueOne history
Personal terms no issue - player wanted move
Medical on Monday in US ✍️
West Ham moved fast and have their new winger ✅ #WHU #LCFC
It is also reasonable to expect that any formal agreement would only manifest after the World Cup concludes. Should Fatawu perform exceptionally well if Ghana afford him a starting opportunity, City would undoubtedly demand the full £30m release clause.
