13 is unlucky for some, but not the modern Foxes team which requires urgent surgery! Following that process, when the new campaign begins, the Leicester City roster will be totally changed next season.
It won't quite be different in its entirely, but a majority of senior professionals are expected to depart Filbert Way. Starting with the valuable players LCFC must relinquish in order to decrease their wage bill, create funds and balance their books: Abdul Fatawu is an obvious sell, sadly.
The 22-year-old is a true baller; one that would look, and generally be, out of place in League One. His ambition is as big as his productivity would be in England's tier-three. For those reasons, Fatawu will almost definitely be sold.
Ben Nelson is another Fox predicted to get a decent price at market. The centre half will likely transfer back into the EFL Championship should City bosses agree on a fair fee.
"The majority of those with expiring Leicester City deals are older players who will be expected to move on. Asmir Begovic, Jordan Ayew and Jamaal Lascelles are not under contract beyond this summer."The72
The disgraced Harry Winks and defender Jannik Vestergaard are two more surely for the cull. The surplus and disrespectful Victor Kristiansen will no doubt be going; Stephy Mavididi hasn't earned a stay but King Power probably couldn't afford him nonetheless.
Caleb Okoli will likely return to Italy after a poor LE2 spell; Wout Faes and Woyo Coulibaly are pretty certain leavers. Unneeded quartet Patson Daka, Wanya Marcal, Asmir Begovic and Jordan Ayew could well make up some of the final exits.
It is a necessary (if painful, in a few cases) purge required to fix the Leicestershire team's trajectory. If the City board fail to execute these wholesale alterations ruthlessly, consequences for the future of the side will be dire indeed. Foxes fans now wait with bated breath to see who ultimately clears their locker at the training ground this summer. Not to mention if any promising recruits arrive.
