We are edging ever closer to June hitting the calendar, meaning the transfer window is set to reopen very soon.

The window swinging back open will see a lot of players leave Leicester City after relegation to League One.

There are transfer rumours here and there linking the Midlands giants with some signings through the door, but the main talk at the moment is the mass exodus of first-team personnel, with several Leicester players eyeing up big moves to the Premier League, despite just sinking into the third tier.

Leicester stars set for Premier League moves

Abdul Fatawu is a man in demand this summer.

He might have the unfortunate blemish on his career CV of two back-to-back relegations with Leicester, but that hasn't stopped the likes of Everton, Sunderland, Leeds, and Fulham from wanting a slice of the Ghanaian.

After all, he did pick up nine goals and eight assists last season as a rare bright spark, and from 11 Premier League appearances previously for the Foxes, Fatawu also has two assists, with a move for the 22-year-old viewed as a gamble worth exploring.

Manchester United have their eyes on Jeremy Monga, too, from the Leicester camp, with the 16-year-old an in-demand talent this off-season, having already broken into the Foxes first team picture, at such an early age.

He could end up banking Leicester around the £15m mark, which is a serious bit of cash to win for such a wide-eyed youngster, with Arsenal further keen on the teenager's services.

The Red Devils aren't done here, however, with their pursuit of some Leicester stars, with a surprise move potentially on the cards for Michael Carrick's men to land this defender, as well.

The surprise Foxes player being eyed up by Manchester United

On the senior books of Leicester since 2020, Ben Nelson only really became a fully fledged member of the first team this season just gone.

Constantly chucked out on loan to the EFL, Nelson was handed 24 appearances last campaign in the second tier, and the 22-year-old did impress in spurts.

Indeed, he put his 6-foot-5 frame to good use when averaging 4.7 duels won per league contest. That prowess in the air was clear for all to see when the Foxes picked up Gary Rowett's first league win as manager against Bristol City in mid-March, with nine duels bravely won, alongside launching into four successful tackles.

Still, while he would've been viewed as a rising talent in the King Power ranks, and nothing more, meaning nobody would have anticipated that a team of the Red Devils' stature would be chasing after his services this summer.

That's what the Daily Mail Sport is reporting, though, as United assesses what youthful options they can pick up in the market to improve their squad depth.

Nelson ticks a lot of boxes clearly, with the 22-year-old potentially blossoming away from Leicester, if Carrick and Co. are willing to take a risk.

This feels like a big move for a player who only contributed to one Championship clean sheet last season, as the Foxes possibly lose another homegrown talent - like Monga - to the 20-time Premier League champions.

Many just would have anticipated that Nelson would thrive in League One if he were kept around, but if United offered the big bucks for him, they would be foolish not to part ways.
