This man will likely take control of Leicester for Brentford fixture

Judging by the time-scale as well as the latest media speculation, we now know which coach will probably be in the Leicester City dugout the next time out. That's after the King Power club sacked Steve Cooper even though the Foxes team is not in the Premier League relegation zone at the moment. Nevertheless, the side's poor performances and lack of assimilation under the former Nottingham Forest boss would have surely dragged the east Midlanders into trouble. So, is this the man who will likely take control of LCFC for the upcoming Brentford fixture on Saturday?

In addition to tackling that crucial topic, we have another issue to consider. I previously mentioned that the Leicester squad were thought to be at odds with the Welshman's methods and expectations. But what exactly did the Foxes players disagree with? What was said, if anything? And is this ill feeling linked to the unpalatable behaviour in Copenhagen recently? If you weren't aware, the Leicestershire outfit lost to Chelsea and then went drinking and partying at the ill-advised and undeserved LCFC Christmas party. Oh dear.

I hope the Leicester squad is listening, or reading; they won't be but I'll carry on regardless. They aren't one of the best Foxes teams we've seen in the EPL. Yet collectively they just about possess the requisite calibre and skill sets to survive a difficult season.

However, irrespective of who is in the LCFC hot seat (Ruud van Nistelrooy, David Moyes, Carlos Corberan, Graham Potter or whoever), the City personnel must improve and fully commit to the cause. Yeah, I'm questioning some of these athletes' commitment to the club! And rightly so, especially after some recently concerning displays and results. Rant over.

As a group, the Foxes were said to be "very critical of Cooper’s tactics and set-up" for the Blues game. One LCFC star is meant to have described the 44-year-old's style as a "f***** disgrace". Well, they'll have to buy into his successor's methodology - or we'll be back in the Championship!

It's now Wednesday afternoon. Leicester play Brentford at the weekend. Therefore it is seemingly increasingly possible that Ben Dawson will be in charge if a new man doesn't arrive. He's presently overseeing First Team training.
