Creating but no goals
Creating chances is the hardest part. That is something the Dutchman has done well with his team: in developing the players and system around chance creation, the side has constructed more lesser chances. This priority should give the opportunity for high-octane and clinical players to seize these smaller chances and create big chances for the side: think of Jamie Vardy's myriad attempts.
Players are getting into positions, they simply are not finding the final pass or the right position to make the final move that gives them a clear chance at goal. This frustratingly sometimes leads them to have a half chance and completely breakdown the move, or forces the side to recycle possession and go again. The latter situation is perfectly acceptable and happened plenty against the travelling side in the second half.
It is problematic that the King Power side can create so many chances, not get shots, and when you do get shots, just 'fluffing' them if they are big chances, or taking half chances. That is not good enough when against the king of teams we are playing in the Premier League. Nistelrooy needs clinical forwards and for other players than Jordan Ayew to score some goals.
