Even though Leicester City manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy has had a torrid time at King Power Stadium, that hasn't stopped him throwing his weight around. First of all high profile midfielder Harry Winks was banished from the LCFC squad following a contestable row. Although justifiable and mitigating circumstances seem to be attributed to the former Tottenham Hotspur man. Now a reputable source, John Percy at The Telegraph, has revealed that a second notable International who plays for City was expelled from senior activity as well.
In one or two instances, judging by what has been reported, the Dutchman appears to be absolutely justified in exiling Foxes stars from the side. Any head coach must occasionally be ruthlessly decisive, especially at Premier League level. Though the ex-Manchester United footballer and interim boss has made so many errors on Filbert Way that his major decisions must be analysed. Relegation has further enforced my notion in that sense.
So, who is the other Fox embroiled in a spat with van Nistelrooy? Was the disturbance necessary? Did the uproot negatively affect recent results? And what's next for the troubled Leicester pair?
Ruud van Nistelrooy banishes another Leicester City first team player along with Harry Winks
If we trust reporting on the subject, Winks was deserving of time off and to miss the game in question because of family commitments. However, we don't know what occurred behind closed LCFC doors. And living 100 miles away from you top flight club is an unnecessary commute.
Jannik Vestergaard is the other Fox expelled by van Nistelrooy. The Dane is said to be in a similar living position to Winks. While the one-time Southampton defender supposedly had dispensation to bring his dog to training, the whole situation is odd.
I can't see either professional remaining at Leicester if RvN does. Their absences changed little. What apparently happened between the three is below:
"In recent weeks he has clashed with both Harry Winks and Vestergaard over their commuting from near or in London.John Percy
Leicester’s manager asked them to stay overnight for one day a week at the club’s training ground, to aid preparation, and both have declined. Both players have since been excluded from his plans. The perception is that they are waiting for him to leave... Though Leicester’s board backed Van Nistelrooy on his stance, the future of the former Manchester United forward remains uncertain"
