Leicester City lost in typically uncommitted form away to relegation rivals Portsmouth on Saturday. It was a totally unforgivable Foxes performance - once again! While the Fratton Park atmosphere is notoriously hostile, the collapse of professional discipline within the Leicester ranks was more offensive than the scoreline itself.
During the game, an out of sorts Hamza Choudhury shouted curse words at the Portsmouth family stand after clashing with officials in another bad day at the office for the thoroughly disappointing LCFC Academy product. But Harry Winks was on a whole different level of arrogance and disgrace.
Winks lost the tiny amount of respect he had left in LE2; which mainly emerged for his overhyped technical ability and tenacity. Both of which almost entirely evaded him this season. The midfielder, once lauded as a deep-lying orchestrator, now resembles a man lost in the fog of his own declining influence.
Winks, disgrace

Hamza Choudhury, disgrace
Rest of them, bloody useless! #LCFC https://t.co/gpPQRstomC
Nevertheless, Winks should never rise to criticism or verbal abuse, yet he surrendered his dignity with sneers that betrayed a definite lack of character. Though he went further than arguing with King Power club supporters at the weekend, appearing viciously upset.
The ex-Tottenham Hotspur man lashed out nastily at the assembled Leicester faithful, offering a vitriolic rebuttal to those who have sacrificed time and treasure to follow this wandering side. To witness a senior professional succumb to such petulance is to witness the rot currently infecting the club's entire identity.
Winks’ outburst was not the fire of a competitor, but the fragility of a man who cannot handle the mirror of public scrutiny. This was a bridge burned in real-time, a moment of visceral contempt that leaves his tenure at the club looking increasingly untenable.
In the cold light of this defeat, Winks' conduct remains an indelible stain. Just remember what three different managers alleged of the once England international's commitment!
