One of the most entertaining, enthusiastic and promising Leicester City players is out injured at the moment. This star first made his way as a thrilling winger in the Championship. Then he made the step up to the Premier League and looked deadly on occasion. In fact, the Fox in question also began making a successful change to wing back or, more precisely, a makeshift full back.

The King Power club are certainly missing Abdul Fatawu, there is a slight void on the wing. Obviously there are a few other bright sparks around in that department. City have capable footballers such as Stephy Mavididi. Facundo Buonanotte and Bilal El Khannouss have played in that position. Though the latter two are better suited to central roles in my view.

Could any furter wingmen be bought or loaned during the currently open transfer window? Well, a specific signing was forecast to be made. The three exact zones LCFC are said to want to improve in the new year are full back, centre back and winger in fact.

With Woyo Coulibaly's arrival on Filbert Way last week, it appears the Leicestershire team have filled one priority. Will a central defender also arrive? Possibly. City have reportedly been eyeing prospective centre halves to bring in. Speculation has occurred over one or two CBs in particular.

Abdul Fatawu probably won't be helping Leicester City until new campaign begins - at the earliest

If a new Foxes wingman doesn't materialise, the east Midlands outfit won't be able to call upon Fatawu. Leicester's 'starboy's' ACL injury was of course described as "serious". And he is indeed sidelined for the remainder of the season.

But when can we expect Fatawu to make his long-awaited Leicester City comeback? Premier Injuries states August 4 as the potential return date. The EPL kicks off on the 16th.
