Following the Foxes' 180-minute practice match versus Oud-Heverlee Leuven, who just happen to be Leicester City's sister side, we analyse LCFC's stars. Which King Power players stood out versus OH Leuven whilst playing in a peculiar format?

We had a wonderful blend of youth and experience within the three Leicester lineups (yes, 3!). But what did caretaker manager Andy King, and prospective new head coach Marti Cifuentes, learn from the friendly encounter with the Belgians? Let's waste no time and get down to discussing the action.

An odd set-up that actually makes sense when you think about it

OK, if you didn't know, City played OHL on Saturday afternoon. The match was two sets of 90 minutes split into 'four phases'. This meant, importantly, each lineup was active for 60 mins.

I know this sounds unnecessarily complicated, but the format technically gives entire club squads a run out. In addition to that, a trio of XIs were fielded: this offers coaches a chance to try different combination of Foxes. The groups were as follows:

First XI: Stolarczyk; Kristiansen, Aluko, Coady, Pereira; Ndidi, Winks; McAteer, Page, Monga; Thomas.

Second: Stolarczyk/Bausor (90 mins each for goalkeeper overall); Joseph, Faes, Nelson, Coulibaly; Skipp, Soumare; Mavididi, Golding, Marcal; Ayew.

Third: Bausor; Thomas, Okoli, Wilson-Brown, Justin; Choudhury, Braybrooke; Evans, El Khannouss, Alves; Daka.

Which Leicester City stars were outstanding or very impressive against OH Leuven - and who let the Foxes down, if anyone?

Quite a few City ballers are playing well so far. That's from what I have seen, what fans have claimed and judging by media reports. One of which we can briefly consult now.

According to Leicester Mercury, supreme prospect Jeremy Monga was the Player of the Match versus The King Power International Group-owned outfit. Kasey McAteer and young Louis Page are catching eyes as well, among others:

"Harry Winks: He controlled the tempo at the base of midfield and played good forward passes, especially to Monga. But he sold Ricardo short on halfway and it proved costly."

"Kasey McAteer: He stayed wide to provide a great outlet for the long switches, while challenged at the back post when crosses came in from the other side. His touch was sometimes loose but he always fought to win the ball back."
"Louis Page: He looked really confident after his brace last weekend, and was willing to take the ball in tight areas. His link-up with Monga was excellent and he went close with a fine free-kick too."
"Wout Faes: He bailed out Nelson with a timely block and stretched to make acrobatic clearances. A very comfortable showing."
"Stephy Mavididi: The second 11’s star man, he showed great feet and intent when attacking his full-back, and combined well with Ayew in dangerous areas.

Jordan Ayew: Even before his goal direct from a corner, his deliveries were teasing, causing problems for Leuven. He got on the ball a lot and that led to chances, a couple he scuffed where should have done better, plus one fine effort against the bar.

Stevie Bausor: He made two great saves, one low from a tight angle, and one alert stop after Choudhury lost the ball. After his mistake last week, he’ll be pleased with that.

James Justin: Really good. His ball control, both at the back and going forward, was excellent, and led to a shot that nearly found the net. Defensively he won his battles.
