Why Leicester haven't made signings yet amid Tom Cannon revelation

The transfer market is open. Leicester City are struggling badly in the Premier League. And the Foxes' form may only get worse unless something is done. Put those factors into an equation and what should you have?! Thats right: some LCFC signings.

But we can't really trust King Power bosses and recruitment on Filbert Way anymore. Having said that, they did purchase the impressive Bilal El Khannouss. And City did somehow manage to convince Brighton & Hove Albion to relinquish Facundo Buonanotte for a season. So some good still can come this month in my opinion.

That being said, the Blue Army will begin to increasingly pester the club on social media if nothing transpires soon. As usual, along with waiting to make decisive moves, the east Midlands outfit also need to rid themselves of unwanted players. This will, of course, create funds for their targets.

Media speculation also refers to 'dominoes' that must apparently fall before Foxes can pounce. Are these the reasons why they haven't signed anyone yet? And what have the club reportedly decided is best for loanee Tom Cannon? All will be revealed.

Tom Cannon rumour

Foxes manager Ruud van Nistelrooy was asked about on loan striker Tom Cannon recently. The City gaffer said there is a possibility the former Everton man will remain at Stoke City for the season.

While Cannon's doing well for the Potters, he's said to be the subject of interest for Sheffield United and Sunderland. However, van Nistelrooy also confirmed City do 'keep an eye' on the 22-year-old. This probably means the Leicestershire team haven't decided to sell the temporary Stoke forward at all. Yet.

When will Leicester City make additions?

We want transfers! You can hear that figurative chant all the way from Filbert Way. So why are the King Power club yet to act? One example is below. PSR issues are presumably complicating matters too:

"Middlesbrough's Emmanuel Latte Lath is the subject of interest from Atlanta United, but City need the MLS side to turn to their alternative target Odsonne Edouard

Leicester City will hope Middlesbrough reject a £16m bid for star striker Emmanuel Latte Lath so that dominoes begin to fall for their own January business.

City are hoping to cut short his [Edouard's] loan in order to open up another Premier League loan slot. Premier League clubs can only have two players on loan from rival sides at any one time, and City already have Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton for the season."
