It is a well-known fact that Leicester City have financial difficulties. Additionally, if Foxes fans can trust widely circulating reports from generally trustworthy outlets and reporters, it is also reality that the East Midlanders must sell many players.
Of course, dismantling a team is never easy for a fan base, especially when every one of their favourite stars is expected to leave. Yet the Blue Army are not as concerned as some might think: this squad is a disaster overall, and few current athletes even appear to care about the club as a famous and important establishment.
So breaking them up, along with sending them anywhere that will take them, is preferable to retaining a bad batch of apples. Abdul Fatawu, the thrilling Ghana international winger, is likely to go.
But many hold suspicions here. Will Fatawu and Jordan Ayew be predictably involved in Ghanaian goals at England's expense before their departures are finalised?
Jannik Vestergaard, the overpriced and overpaid centre-back, should depart too. Defenders Ben Nelson and Victor Kristiansen are on that list as well; no tears will be shed in Leicestershire if the latter leaves.
But Jeremy Monga's forecasted exit will hurt more than most. He is probably the greatest prospect ever produced by the Leicester Academy.
Arsenal would be a fine, if massively regressive, destination for the Coventry-born teenager. Although if they loan them use him in 2027 he may still be content.
Indeed, Monga is reportedly keen, if the usually infallible Fabrizio Romano is to be believed. City certainly have to sell due to book balancing and the pressures of Profit and Sustainability regulations.
"Arsenal’s first bid for Leicester City’s Jeremy Monga has been rejected, but the expectation is that the two clubs will ultimately reach an agreement."OneFootball
Interestingly, due to a potential tribunal to arrange a fair fee, not to mention elite European interest, the King Power outfit actually have a pretty strong position in this instance. They want £15 million for the 16-year-old, and thusly rejected the Gunners' first, presumably low, offer.
