Why Leicester should try to re-sign Dewsbury-Hall

Leicester City cashed in on the sale of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea in the summer to help fund their signings. Here is why the Foxes ought to look into bringing the playmaker back to the King Power and how this could happen.

A loan without an obligation to buy. We cannot afford to resign KDH on a permanent basis, but we can give Cooper the best possible chance of securing survival with the Foxes by loaning in our former best player. A player that already has great relationships and understanding with those in our team, and also has been training under a much more intense and tactically intelligent coach.

It is also fair to point out the lack of realism in this comment. Chelsea have only recently signed the player, and although have not played Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall enough, the Blues did clearly want the player for a reason. Enzo Maresca will not simply let the Foxes have their best midfielder back.

However, if the King Power side are genuinely interested in improving either their starting squad or depth in the winter window, a good start would be to look into their former stars getting little game time, and putting in offers to bring them back to the East Midlands. Ben Chilwell and KDH are two great examples for this push.
