Why Leicester won't re-sign Harvey Barnes or Dewsbury-Hall

Leicester City are constantly linked with new and old players. The speculation and hearsay usually turns out to be just that: unfounded. Nonetheless, the Foxes probably won't try to lure back two of their favourite sons to King Power Stadium due to many causes and factors. Will the Blue Army be disappointed when reading this article and Leicester Mercury's view and insider information? Most likely, yeah.

So why are LCFC ostensibly unlikely to re-sign Harvey Barnes or Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall? Is it a wise idea for the Leicestershire outfit to take the money and not reconsider these athletes? One Leicester specialist journalist claims price tags and even space in the side are prime grounds.

Harvey Barnes won't prospectively rejoin Leicester City for these reasons

Barnes isn't a winger that his Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe really seems to rate or trust. The ex-Fox is often on the substitute's bench and occasionally completely unused. Undervalued is the word that comes to mind.

Obviously Anthony Gordon is an electric wideman. Not to mention Jacob Murphy being underrated fairly drastically. Yet Barnes's absence is rather telling.

City have, naturally, been linked with re-signing their academy product. I believe Barnes would enhance the starting lineup on Filbert Way. The Magpies supposedly consider the England international expendable.

However, NUFC paid a reported £38 million for the wingman a couple of years ago. And it is said that they'd prefer to recoup most, if not all, of that amount. That's certainly a plausible and reasonable figure. But it's too rich for Leicester, according to this story.

Why Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall may not return to Foxes

Dewsbury-Hall would also be a solid addition to the City midfield if he did make a comeback. I do rate this new Boubakary Soumare and Wilfred Ndidi partnership. Yet KDH is a uniquely talented operator as I see it. But the Chelsea man might never be a Fox again:

"But would he [KDH] get back into the team? He probably would, but it’s not as clear cut as might have been imagined. Right now, van Nistelrooy would have to drop either Facundo Buonanotte or Bilal El Khannouss to get Dewsbury-Hall into an attacking role, or leave out Boubakary Soumare or Wilfred Ndidi if he felt he was better used in front of the back four. Plus, City have so many options as alternatives in those positions."
