Leicester City’s title winning manager Claudio Ranieri is set to sign a new deal with the club after delivering the Premier League trophy last season.
The Italian currently has two years left on his contract which is reportedly worth over £1.5m a year after joining Leicester City last summer after Nigel Pearson’s theatrical exit.

It is well known that Mr. Ranieri has been looking for a long-term deal, speaking of retiring with the foxes where he’ll forever remain a legend among the residents of the city.
Speaking to the media he said:
"“If my owner is happy I stay here. There isn’t another team – there is nothing who can change my mind. I am so happy here there is so much to do – we are just starting to build. If owner is happy with me, I’m happy with him.”"
"I’d like this to be last job – yes – if it’s possible I’d like to be here a long time. No team can change my mind. Definitely no!"
"If they want to offer me the big contract then I sign."
The charismatic Italian has had a tough pre-season after Leicester City lost to both Barcelona and PSG in friendlies. Two teams which are tough opposition to beat at the best of times.
He also saw his side fall narrowly short of the Community Shield, just 10 minutes before the game was due to go to penalties, Leicester City saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic rise high above captain Wes Morgan to head home the winner for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United, winning the first silverware of his Red Devils career.
Mr. Ranieri has reportedly been in contract talks since the start of August, with his new deal looking to double his wage which would see him earn up to £3m per year.
Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha is not short of money however after recently buying the whole squad brand new BMW i8 Supercars.
