Leicester City open their English Premier League title defense against promoted Hull City and Foxes hope to take advantage of rather declawed Tigers.

Claudio Ranieri has completed the signing of his new deal with Leicester City along with the many key first team players that he was able to lock down for the club this coming season. The Riyad Mahrez drama continues, but after a strong yet frustrating display at the weekend against Manchester United the focus is shifting back to the task at hand, opening day and the Hull City Tigers.

Leicester played well in the FA Community Shield against Manchester United, but it was not enough to see Ranieri and his charges outfox Jose Mourinho in his Red Devils debut. Having taken a gut punch of humble pie at Wembley, Leicester City can now bounce back with their trip to the KC Stadium.

Hull City host the match this weekend without a manager since the departure of Steve Bruce and their caretaker manager Mike Phelan additionally has a host of injury concerns and his side unfortunately for him looks ripe for the picking.

Jake Livermore could once more be forced to deputize in the back line for Phelan just as he did in preseason against Major League Soccer Side Toronto FC due to Michael Dawson’s injury with also Allan McGregor, Moses Odugajo, Alex Bruce, Harry Mcguire and Shaun Maloney all expected to be sidelined.

Leicester have only Robert Huth set to miss the match due to a suspension that is overlapping from last season, otherwise I expect much the same first team as were on the pitch for Manchester United.
