Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has defended his team following their 3 – 0 thrashing against Chelsea saying that ‘they’re not machines’.

Leicester City lost at the hands of Chelsea during Saturday’s lunch-time game in the Premier League.

The 3 – 0 embarrassment is just one heavy loss in a string of defeats away from home this season.

Foxes fans however can take solace in the fact that the defeats have come against the top teams in the league, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Previously, after a defeat in the Premier League, Leicester have gone on to win their European game.

Following the 4 – 1 hammering at Anfield, Leicester went on to win 3 – 0 in Belgium against Club Brugge.

Following their 4 – 1 defeat to Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United, the foxes won 1 – 0 at home to the Group G favourites Porto.

Fans will be hoping this pattern continues as Leicester face Copenhagen tomorrow at the King Power Stadium.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s game, Ranieri said:

"“It is normal when you play in Europe for the first time that the team lose something,”"

"“It is normal. I have a lot of experience. When a team is in Europe for the first time, when they play in your league they are a little up and down.”"

"“They are only human and not machines but I am very confident with my team. They fight.”"

"“Of course last season we were more compact and it was another style of football. Now everyone knows us and we try and change something. Now we are in the balance, in the middle, not as well as last season and in a new season.”"

"“But that is normal for a team like Leicester.”"
