Leicester City made a lot of moves this summer trying to increase their depth for a campaign with multiple fronts with the addition of the UEFA Champions League.

With every transfer window when multiple new players come in, there are several players that start to feel the frustration of not getting their opportunities and Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has two players in that situation.

Argentine forward Leonardo Ulloa has already been linked with a move to either Swansea City or Sunderland as the 30-year-old looks for a more active first team role with another club.

Jeffrey Schlupp was heavily linked with a move to West Brom earlier this campaign but he was not allowed to leave as he seemed likely to be more heavily utilized this season on the wings for his pace.

However, neither player has truly had the opportunity to shine that they both so crave for the Foxes and with January just around the corner there are rumblings yet again that both could be on the move.

Swansea City offers Ulloa a chance to come into the club most likely as a second or third choice, but he could become used as another powerful forward to partner with Fernando Llorente and it could bring the best out of both of them.

More from Foxes of Leicester

Equally a move to Sunderland would see him have the opportunity to give the side a different type of attacking option as either a partner for Jermain Defoe or as a lone target man to hold up the play.

Schlupp would be welcomed pace for the Baggies if once again Tony Pulis tries to bring him to the Hawthorns in January, but he could also be a solid left back deputy for multiple sides that are short on defenders through injury.

With the Foxes in need of some cash flow to make some important January moves, being able to get around £17-£20 million for the two of them in total could help to fund a more important target such as a defensive midfielder to partner with Danny Drinkwater and help the Foxes regain some control of the midfield in matches this season.

Manager Claudio Ranieri admits that he, “understands,” his players wanting more active roles in their club and their ability to make the most of their careers according to his comments in the Leicester Mercury:

"“Always I tell my players it is important for them to stay together. If they don’t feel good because they want more it’s important to speak up and do what’s best for the club, the team and themselves.I understand I lose some for African Cup but it is not possible to keep players just for that. It is important to understand everything and choose best for the team because the club is the boss.”"

It will be interesting to see what happens with these rumors as the month goes on and as we get closer to the January transfer window.
