Wilfred Ndidi has often been vituperated because of some truly dreadful performances for Leicester City at the heart of the midfield. Today, however, the Nigerian all of that behind to put in a world-class display, one that was redolent of the N’Golo Kante days.
Former Leicester City player Matt Elliott went so far as to name him his man of the match, which speaks a lot about how good throughout the course of the 90 minutes. The all-action midfielder played a huge role in Leicester City’s second goal, winning the ball for Riyad Mahrez to put it in the net.
His partner Vicente Iborra had a decent game himself, opening the scoring for the visitors as well as making full use of the space that Stoke City had to offer. The scope for improvement nonetheless remains.
