International watch: What Fox can lead their country to glory?

The second round of international fixtures continue tonight with as many as eight Leicester players having the chance of being involved.

City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has the toughest ask after his Danish side finished second ito Poland in Group E. He and Denmark now travel to Dublin for their World Cup qualifying second leg playoff tie against Republic of Ireland.

The pair come together in what will be the last chance saloon for one to qualify. The 31-year-old kept a clean sheet in the first leg as the two countries battled out a goalless draw.

He is not the only Leicester man turning out for his national team today, another seven players could potentially feature.

The Foxes have three players currently on tour with the Nigeria squad as they face Argentina in a friendly this afternoon at 4:30pm. Kelechi Iheanacho, Ahmed Musa and Wilfred N’didi will be hoping to impress, especially Musa, who continues to stake his first team claim.

Aleksandar Dragovic’s only taste of first team football this term came from the EFL Cup wins over Liverpool and Leeds United. The defender’s sparse game time could be improved with national team, Austria. They invite Uruguay to Vienna for a 7:45pm kick-off.

Wales international Andy King could play a part in tonight’s televised game against Panama. The game is being shown live on BBC Two at 7:45pm.

Whereas for England, Jamie Vardy and Harry Maguire could come against former World Cup winner’s Brazil at Wembley tonight. Swansea’s Tammy Abraham partnered Vardy up top in England’s 0-0 draw against Germany with the 30-year-old looking to be involved in manager Gareth Southgate’s plans again.
