Kasper Schmeichel: The Danish Manuel Neuer

Well, on what was an off-day for the team because of Manchester City’s complete dominance, Kasper Schmeichel was in a league of his own, so much so that BBC Leicester Sport’s Matt Piper picked him as his man of the match, and that’s quite something.

Maybe, the man of the match is a  bit to much, but you can’t deny that the scoreline could have been much more emphatic for the visitors had the Danish not been at his absolute best, saving his side on a number of occasions, as he often does.

We have said it before, we’ll say it again: Kasper Schmeichel is more important than you think.
