Leicester City 0-2 Manchester City: Player Ratings
Midfielders/Forwards
Wilfred Ndidi – 7
The young midfielder put great pressure on Silva in the middle of the park at the start. Seems more comfortable on the ball with ClaudePuel/Vicente Iborra’s guidance. Became over ran by three world class Manchester City central midfielders as the game progressed. At 2-0 down, he still made successful interceptions. Played some fine long passes.
Vicente Iborra – 7
The Spaniard had some sublime touches early on. His assurance on the ball in indicative of Puel’s new approach. Playing a more forward role today, he was always looking to advance up the pitch., though he struggled to run the game after the visitors scored in quick succession.
Demarai Gray – 6
Needs the ball going forward to be effective in any way. Interchanged wings throughout but not overly involved at all. When he was on the ball, he did cause the odd-scare to his marker, although he couldn’t find the killer ball through or room for a shot. The directness of his play to take on a man seemed lacking today.

Marc Albrighton – 5
Back into the side for his defensive cover. Must make every cross count, especially against the top team. Struggled to keep up with Manchester City’s pace of attack along with their rapid inter-passing. Uncharacteristically lacklustre today.
Riyad Mahrez – 6
Confident, beating men at will in the first stages, although end product evaded him all game. Needs to release the ball as Gray is learning. Some questionable set-pieces. Not at his devastating best this afternoon.
Jamie Vardy – 5
Always pressing. Constantly got at the not-match-fit Vincent Kompany. Under pressure, Kompany fouled him and should’ve been red carded. His most effective play came from wide, but to no real avail. Sloppier than usual with his passing; however, he could’ve scored with minimal chances.
