Vicente Iborra – Rating 8

Looking to control from the middle. Edged out the opposition with the help of partner, Ndidi, from the start.

Taking the skill of Manuel Lanzini out of the game early on.

However, he occasionally  gave the ball away unnecessarily, he has been more reliable.

He played some brilliant passes into feet in deadly areas and seemed to be everywhere, reminiscent of N’golo Kante.

An Impressive cultured footballer who manager Claude Puel needs to keep fit.

Wilfred Ndidi – Rating 7.5

Alongside Iborra and Albrighton they got the better of their opposite three in the first half.

However like Iborra he must take care with all his passes, whether they’re short or long.He gave away  the odd unnecessary free kick, having said this he did set Vardy in for the assist.

He intimidated the Hammers’ midfield and led them into making mistakes, a great attribute.

Need to keep him in January despite interest looming.

Marc Albrighton – Rating 7.5

Puel may have pulled off a master stroke by adapting Albrighton to a central position.

He looked eager to be involved all over the pitch from the very beginning.

Rewarded for his persistency with a well taken goal after eight minutes.

An impressive performance  and showed a good work ethic, doggedness and persistence. He is forming  an excellent partnership on the right with Simpson.

Riyad Mahrez – 6.5

Struggled to get going early on, the Algerian  found space excellently but must get his crosses in early.

Had opportunities to feed in Gray, who was visibly annoyed with his selfishness. Seems to need to work on strength when physically under pressure as he was easily knocked off the ball too many times.

Just couldn’t quite use his incredible talent effectively in terms of the final ball. Begrudgingly withdrawn for Chilwell on 70 minutes which highlights the kind of day he had.

Demarai Gray – Rating 7

The 21-year-old was very comfortable on the ball and constantly looked for possession. He even started to help out Fuchs at left-back against Marco Arnautovic. Had more joy when interchanging with Albrighton on either flank.

A great second-half run ended with no end product, a constant theme to his game. Sadly he took over from corners from Mahrez yet failed to deliver quality.

Leicester definitely need to get him on the ball more in attacking areas. Yellow carded for retaliation and possibly dissent. Maturity will come for this superbly talented young player.
