Former Leicester City striker Andrej Kramaric is scoring goals for fun for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.

While the Foxes find it hard these days to find the back of the net, the Croatia international is single handedly earning the points for his team, having scored six goals in his last five games – one more than Leicester City have managed in their last five fixtures.

It’s not that he has only been among the goals this season. The 26-year old was more prolific than any Leicester player last season, too, scoring 18 goals and assisting eight in 36 appearances as he ended the campaign as Hoffenheim’s leading goalscorer in his first season after a permanent move.

Speaking after scoring one and setting up another in his side’s 2-0 win over FC Augsburg, he said:

"“I’m really happy with how things are going for me at the moment.“I’m full of confidence right now and that makes things a lot easier in front of goal – not just for me actually, but all the strikers.”"

Despite Kramaric’s scoring streak, Julian Nagelssmann’s team had only won once in their last five games. The former Leicester striker, however, is confident that their away win on Saturday is the start of a “good run”.

"“We haven’t got many good results, so to get an away win is fantastic.“Hopefully we’ll go on a good run now. We’ll continue to work hard – that’s the key to everything.”"

It’s amazing how it can work for a player at one club and not work at all at another. The Andrej Kramaric that we saw at Leicester City was a completely different striker, and it’s not surprising that he only featured 20 times (four goals) between January 2015 and January 2016, when he was finally set free by the club.

He immediately picked up form after initially leaving the King Power Stadium on loan, scoring five goals and assisting four in 15 appearances to help Hoffenheim avoid relegation. Kramaric was later signed by the Bundesliga outfit on a four-year deal.
