Leicester City boss Claude Puel is not concerned about his side’s clash against Burnley at Turf Moor next week yet.

The Foxes face Newcastle United at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, but everyone is thinking about the big game against Burnley next week, which may well decide who wins the battle for the seventh spot in the Premier League.

With both the sides expected to win their respective fixtures this week as the Clarets face a limping Watford, a lot would depend on their clash next Saturday, but Claude Puel is not thinking about it at the moment.

The Frenchman, while heaping praise on Sean Dyche’s side, insisted that he is more worried about Newcastle for now, who he thinks won’t be easy to beat.

"“We know Burnley play well with consistency since the beginning of the season,” said Puel after the 2-0 win at the Amex Stadium,” he said.“They deserve to win all the games they win. We will see. We try in any game to give our best, better than the first half today I hope, and we will see in the end.“Burnley are a tough opponent with quality all over the pitch. We will see.“I think it is not time to speak about this because it is speculation. It is important to continue our work and our momentum.“We have to concentrate on our game against Newcastle because it will be a tough game.“They are a team who are trying to secure their place in the Premier League. All the games are difficult and we have to stay focused on that rather than look too far ahead to next season.”"

It goes without saying that Leicester City would have to do more than they did in their 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion last week.

Puel’s side were below average for a majority of the game, passing the ball terribly and looking short of ideas in the final third with the ball at their feet.

One might wonder just how different could the game have been had Glenn Murray made the best of his chances, including a missed penalty that could have rendered Leicester City dead for the game.

Vicente Iborra and Jamie Vardy’s goals may have papered over the cracks, but Dyche is an intelligent manager who knows how to set his side up against sloppy teams like Leicester.

And let’s not forget that Leicester City first need to beat Newcastle United.
