CSKA Moscow want to make Leicester City loanee Ahmed Musa’s deal permanent this summer.

The Nigerian forward was loaned out to the Russian side in January after he failed to make even a single Premier League appearance.

Ahmed Musa has since had a pretty good time, scoring seven goals and assisting three for his side to help secure UEFA Champions League qualification.

However, with there being no option to buy, he is back to being a Leicester City player again, and now it’s down to the Foxes to decide if they want to keep him or not.

While their decision will depend on the fate of Claude Puel, and if he’s sacked, then at the mercy of the next manager, CSKA Moscow’s stance is clear: They want Ahmed Musa back.

"“We will conduct this work, but everything will depend on the position of Leicester,” CSKA Sporting Director Roman Babayev said.“But if Leicester will have a more profitable financial offer on hand than we can offer, then it will be difficult.“Surely, they want to sell the player, and not loan him again. But we will try to keep Musa.”"

In an ideal world, Leicester City would ship Ahmed Musa back to Russia, as he clearly isn’t someone who fits into the line-up, not with Jamie Vardy at his peak anyway.

Had the Foxes bought him with Vardy not around, then he’d have seamlessly slotted into the XI, but since that’s not the case, the Nigeria international is as good as nothing.

Since his former side really want him, Leicester can easily get the €19 million they paid for the 25-year old back, which would represent good business, and help arrange funds for further additions.

Mind, Leicester City are in need of about five or six solid signings, meaning that any and every amount will come in handy for them. Forget about the £60 million that they may land for Riyad Mahrez, as that will be gone before City even have it.
