LOANED OUT: Leicester City’s Harvey Barnes joins West Bromwich Albion
Leicester City midfielder Harvey Barnes has joined West Bromwich Albion on loan after signing a four-year deal at the King Power Stadium.
The 20-year old spent half of half of the 2017/18 season at Barnsley before being recalled by Leicester in January. He made 25 appearances for the League 1 side, scoring five goals and assisting four in what was a very successful spell.
After coming back to the East Midlands, he then featured five times for Claude Puel’s side in addition to playing his role with the U-23s. Barnes was the star of the show against Liverpool (netted a brace and assisted another) and Arsenal U-23s (scored in a 3-1 win).
Another loan move is a good step for the youngster, as regular playing time is not something that he’d be guaranteed at Leicester. Puel already has a lot of options to deploy in the middle of the park, and he would probably add a couple more very soo
At West Brom, not only would he be a key part of the team, but also under the tutelage of a fine coach. Darren Moore – who was named the Manager of the Month for April – saw his reputation skyrocketing right after he took over the doomed Baggies, producing the kind of upturn in form that assured the fans of a quick return to the Premier League.
Speaking after completing his latest signing, Moore sounded quite excited. He said:
"“He is an exciting young player – one that I think our supporters will enjoy watching.“We’ve got a lot of exciting youngsters at this club and Harvey now adds to that group.“He’s got good experience of the Championship already and I am thrilled at the prospect of him adding his talents to our group. I couldn’t be happier that we have been able to bring him in.”"

Barnes could now make his debut as soon as next Tuesday in a friendly against former team Barnsley.
