All the latest Leicester City news from the Brendan Rodgers press conference, prior to visiting West Ham United on Saturday.

Defeat stopped Brendan Rodgers’ four-match winning streak dead in its tracks. And it wasn’t a so-called big six team who stopped the procession. No, it was perennial Premier League strugglers Newcastle United that won at Leicester City last Friday night.

Not to put too much of a dampener on the situation currently at King Power Stadium – because the Northern Irishman has turned around fortunes, generally. Not to mention supremely lifting outlooks of staff and players. Most of all the loyal Blue Army faithful are once again indulging in wishful thinking.

Seventh is the aim for the Foxes this season, then a possible Europa League qualifying summer. Along with an eye on, according to Rodgers, remarkably breaking into the top-six premiership stalwart clubs next campaign. To do this not only will Leicester have to see off the best outfits, additionally the lesser sides must be consistently put to the proverbial sword home and away.
