Leicester City’s James Maddison still odds on to join Manchester United
Leicester City midfielder James Maddison has been linked with Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and others – will he leave?
At the time of writing Leicester City and England Under-21 playmaker James Maddison is with the Young Lions awaiting the start of the Euros. If he performs well, especially as a standout player, then you can bet this supposed interest from Premier League big six sides develops into actual bids.
Because the Foxes are, purportedly, no longer a ‘selling club’ – one that sells its best players to larger clubs not always for huge profits in a naively providing sense – it will take a significantly ridiculous amount in order to be accepted and capture Maddison.
According to the player himself, when asked about his flattering links to top six premiership sides, he is focused on his current football – not what may be:
"“As a 17 year-old boy I’d started five games for Coventry and saw on my phone that I was being linked with Tottenham and Liverpool.“With transfer talk you need to take it as a compliment that people are even talking about you, it won’t distract me.”Via Leicester Mercury"
Obviously this comment from the former-Canary is exceptionally ambiguous with regards to his future. There are numerous suitors of distinction in global recognition terms; any player would, in reality, consider them.

More promisingly for the Blue Army, Maddison says he is excited for the new season with his current team-mates and club:
"“I know the fans can’t wait for the new campaign to begin and as a group of players we’re all really excited for the year ahead and what we can achieve together.”Via Leicester Mercury"
Although, Sky Bet – disregarding how misleading bookmakers can be – have slashed odds on the 22-year-old joining the Red Devils at 4/11. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will need to replace Paul Pogba if he leaves and Maddison could impact their side dramatically. Erratic as they are, the bookies are equally well-informed; after the tournament we will know more of Maddison’s status.
