Celtic have rejected a £15 million bid from Arsenal for their star left-back and Leicester City target Kieran Tierney, as confirmed by the BBC’s David Ornstein.

However, he also reports that the Gunners are confident about eventually agreeing a deal, while also adding that personal terms “shouldn’t be a problem”.

Since the appointment of Brendan Rodgers, Leicester have been heavily linked with the Scotland international and did look like his most likely destination.

But it doesn’t seem like the Foxes will be able to sign him, given how accurate Ornstein normally is. Tierney is Arsenal-bound.

Not being able to land the 22-year old, for now, should not worry Leicester at all, seeing as they do have Ben Chilwell already.

He is one of the best young left-backs in the world, and even if Tierney were to sign, he would have still been the first choice.

It is if Chilwell leaves that Leicester would be in a spot of bother because Christian Fuchs is all they will be left with in that case.

They have also been chasing Luton Town’s versatile full-back Justin James but are yet to make any offer for him. Aston Villa are  trying to land him as well.

There has been very little intent in the transfer market from Leicester, which is strange as this is a  crucial summer.

We have only been hearing of potential departures and nothing of any arrival. With just under two months to go for the start of the new season, Leicester need to up the ante.
