Juventus are apparently lining up this Leicester City star
Ricardo Pereira of Leicester City is apparently being lineup by Juventus, if they need to replace Joao Cancelo.
With regards to performances, it is hard to argue that Ricardo Pereira is in the top-three in the right-back category in the Premier League. Along with Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold and Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka. That means transfer interest is inevitable.
The full-back had a marvellous season at King Power Stadium: scoring six and assisting two. While making his name in the world’s best league, firstly as a proficient defender, and as an auxiliary winger. He is contracted to the East Midlanders until 2023.
Some believe the Portuguese’s attacking skills outweigh his defending; so an advanced transition up-field may transpire under Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers. Theoretically that theory will be bolstered by a signing on the right at the back. While an incoming wing transfer would refute the notion.
Because Ricardo won the Player of the Season award at Leicester, his star, price and profile rose higher once more. Subsequently, Leicester Mercury carried a story on Tuesday about Italian giants Juventus targeting the Portugal man:
"The latest batch of transfer gossip has Leicester City full-back Ricardo Pereira linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium.According to reports in Italy, Serie A giants Juventus are putting together a list of potential replacements for Joao Cancelo – a list which includes Leicester’s Ricardo."
Additionally, the media outlet states that Manchester City are willing to trade their second choice right-back Danillo for Cancelo. In which case it is assumed that Juve’s interest in the Fox would cease.

Rodgers is at the helm of a youthful, adroitly talented footballers. In addition, the experience at the club of title winners is an invaluable ingredient. Ricardo has a blend of most of these attributes – despite not winning the English top-flight – therefore he is a vital part of the roster.
Keeping the 25-year-old may be difficult with Champions League football on offer, along with presumably higher wages. Albeit this is just a rumour at present. Watch this space!
