With only one year remaining on his Bournemouth contract, Leicester City should make a transfer bid for Ryan Fraser. The winger is perfect for the Foxes.

Nobody can deny that the only position which probably needs strengthening at Leicester City – barring centre-back when Harry Maguire joins Manchester United – is on the wing. Foxes of Leicester believe Ryan Fraser is the perfect player to add necessary effervescent and is available, to a degree.

Brendan Rodgers seems to be sticking with Marc Albrighton as his one sure starting wingman. Although, to be honest, the reliably predictable Englishman is possibly not sufficient in this push for sixth in the Premier League. Nor is he now Champions League quality, with respect to the honourable Leicester City servant.

Demarai Gray and Harvey Barnes seem sure to battle it out for a place; neither of them has done enough to be a definite starter in our opinion. Barnes has all the attributes to be a premiership star out-wide, as does Gray. While the academy graduate is raw, Gray on the other hand seems to lack desire and focus.

And with regards to Rachid Ghezzal – at the risk of being disrespectful, which isn’t the aim – he’s been awful. Devoid of ideas, scared seemingly, lost – he doesn’t even take on his opponent. We’ve witnessed the smallest glimmer from the undeniably talented Algerian; it would be best for all parties if he is sold this transfer window.

Look, this is an impartial assessment, regardless of any personal feelings towards the team this writer has, especially for club legends like Albrighton. But devotion to the club means we want the best for it; therefore we meticulously analyze and systematically blog those opinions.

Leicester City should go for Fraser

Which leads neatly on to our next point about Fraser fitting the bill. Cherries boss Eddie Howe recently stated that it is a possibility that his Scottish star may leave. In addition the player only has a year remaining on his contract; which usually prompts a side into offering a new deal or selling as soon as possible to avoid losing them for free.

Last campaign for the south coast outfit Fraser managed a remarkable 14 assists and seven top-flight goals, making his presence vital for the Foxes as we see it.

Adding together Gray, Albrighton, Barnes and Ghezzal’s premiership goal involvement contribution makes 12 – which is nine less than Fraser’s total on his own.
