There has been a deluge of praise for Leicester City after they earned a second consecutive win to remain unbeaten this season.

It was the Jamie Vardy and Youri Tielemans show as the Foxes beat AFC Bournemouth 3-1 at the King Power Stadium on a day when both Manchester United and Chelsea dropped points.

With the North London Derby on Sunday ending 2-2, too, Leicester sit third on the table – a point ahead of fourth-placed Crystal Palace and fifth-placed Arsenal.

These are early days, yes, but the belief in the East Midlands is growing. The top six ambition is no more. It’s the top four that Leicester faithful believe is achievable now.

Jamie Redknapp certainly seems to believe so anyway.

"“Leicester are capable of special things,” he wrote in his column for the Daily Mail. “They have the manager. This squad will love working with Rodgers. He will be encouraging his players to express themselves and to aim as high as possible. Could that be the top six, or even the top four? Leicester can be a powerhouse.”"

Powerhouse really is the word.  A rock-solid defence, a midfield to make Pep Guardiola lose his mind, typically marauding full-backs, industrious wingers and a 20-goal striker. Who will stop Leicester from achieving what they want to?

They have undoubtedly been among the best four teams so far this season, and given the nature of their displays, they will be up to the job when they face teams from the big six.

Whether they have that tactical smartness to beat the big boys will definitely be the key. Brendan Rodgers has been accused of being a one-trick pony before, while managers like Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Unai Emery and Mauricio Pochettino have a number of modi operandi.

If Rodgers wants to be in that league, if Leicester want to be in that league, they’ll have to match that tactical nous.
