Leicester City supporters know they’re lucky to have Brendan Rodgers as their team’s manager. However, he is certain that his Foxes side will improve further.

Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Chelsea are all looking up at Leicester City in the new look Premier League table. Sure, Manchester City and the almost impeccable Liverpool are still ahead of the Foxes – but there is a change occurring in the order of teams. Regardless of the unavoidable interruption of proceedings.

The Foxes faithful surely know the club is fortunate to have a ‘big name’ boss at the helm, in Brendan Rodgers. Leicester have obviously punched well above their weight in recent seasons; the title-winning campaign of 2015/16 being an extreme example.

Though the structure now in place from the Srivaddhanaprabha family has galvanized the quality squad, whilst stimulating ambition.

Consequently Rodgers feels lucky to be on Filbert Way with King Power backing and has given his verdict on an unfinished but very encouraging 2019/20. Obviously the outfits formerly known as the ‘big six’ still have an earning capacity which far exceeds the small city of Leicester as a football club. But where there’s a will, there’s a way – as the King Power side have already shown in the past.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Northern Irish gaffer said that his side ensured that “consistency and performances have been very, very good” this term. Optimism oozed from Rodgers’ evaluation. Notwithstanding that he is aware there is still room for improvement: though with his youthfully talented roster, the sky is the limit. That is, if the skillful team can be retained as a unit, in his opinion.

Lastly Rodgers explained how the squad being so young on average increases the chances of developing. Not to mention how he plays two systems during games: assisting their best abilities in order to be expressed adequately.
