Foxes of Leicester conducted a small but revealing poll attempting to decipher whether Leicester City supporters want to sign Liverpool’s Adam Lallana.

The transfer window is still apparently set to open on June 10; unless a drastic, last minute change is made by Premier League bosses. This means Leicester City will be open for business, so to speak.

Adam Lallana is a name which has been synonymous with Foxes speculation during the hiatus from premiership football. Liverpool’s playmaker is out of contract at the end of next month; yet there is a chance for extensions in order to help teams complete the 2019/20 campaign.

Regardless of what happens there, it is almost certain that the former England man will be available for free before 2020/21 begins – whenever that eventually occurs. Other sides are linked with a move for the attacking midfielder: Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham and Burnley, per Mirror.

Adam Lallana’s Leicester City poll

Below this paragraph, you can see a small but revealing poll conducted by FoL in order to ascertain a general consensus on whether or not the Blue Army want the club to sign Lallana:

Results to the question were arguably mildly surprising, with 67 per cent desiring the move. Considering the ex-Southampton player’s injury tendency, rising age, high wages and the fact that he wouldn’t get into Leicester City’s starting XI, I found the result peculiar though understandable.

This doesn’t mean I don’t rate Lallana, quite the opposite. In fact, my question is, with the above concerns taken into account: do the Foxes even need Lallana? Back-up for and experience of Champions League football is all I can really offer. Let’s say James Maddison departs – hopefully that doesn’t happen – and subsequently Leicester cannot secure a suitable replacement, only then would Lallana be an appropriate signing.
