Leicester target Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand

According to a report, Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is resigned to losing Ben Chilwell. Therefore the Foxes allegedly want Ryan Bertrand.

I’m sure many of you are getting a bit bored with the constant transfer rumours involving Leicester City. Especially the consistency of new, expansive, diverse hearsay concerning England international Ben Chilwell. Well, us too.

Although Foxes of Leicester does, however, promise to assess the likelihood of each bit of speculation – regardless of how outlandish a rumour it may be. For example, we must be honest when we say Chilwell definitely has some huge clubs as current admirers. It is likely that he will be the subject of bids this term.

The transfer window may stretch until October, so there’ll be no letting up until a new contract is agreed. Or a deal involving Chelsea, Manchester City or whichever potential suitor actually pays the reported £85 million it would take to prize the defender from the King Power side’s grip.

Fresh player linked with Leicester City

With the quite remarkable position Leicester City has carved out for itself – with less funding than other teams but better recruitment, sales and tactics – the East Midlanders will obviously want a top-class replacement if Chilwell does in fact depart from Filbert Way.

A few different names have been linked with a move to Leicester in place of the 23-year-old, Nicolas Tagliafico to name one quality prospect. Though, on Wednesday Daily Mail suggested that Brendan Rodgers is resigned to losing Chilwell from his Foxes outfit. Additionally, the outlet says Rodgers has identified Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand as a target.  It was also reported on the same day that Leicester might sign another Saints defender.
