After another loss in this horrid run of form for Leicester City, Brendan Rodgers was asked if he thinks the Foxes will qualify for the Champions League.

A quick Leicester City rant to get us started, to whomever it may concern in the set-up: the Blue Army does not want to see two unnecessary defensive-midfielders fielded when the Foxes are chasing a goal! Please stop putting aimless, hopeful long passes or high crosses into an isolated Jamie Vardy sandwiched in between two towering, stocky centre-backs.

Anything else, errm, start with James Maddison at No.10. And hoof it into the box if we’re losing with a minute to go! Right, that’s all of it out of my system now. There is much more, to be honest, but you’ll hopefully be reading that analysis from our writers in the coming days.

Brendan Rodgers on Leicester City’s present CL chances

So, as you know, Leicester City lost 2-1 to Everton after a dire first-half display from the King Power side. A two-goal margin didn’t leave them with a monumental task following the interval, though it did prove too much for the vastly improved Foxes.

After the Toffees defeat, Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers was asked if the East Midlanders will qualify for the Champions League. And it was encouraging to hear the manager take a combative approach:

"“I’ve always said we’ll push to finish as high as we possibly can. If we finish outside it, then we haven’t been good enough. It’s as simple as that. You have to sustain it over 38 games. We’ve go six games to go and we have to fight to finish as high as we can.”"

Leicester City’s next fixture is at home versus Crystal Palace, that is providing the clash isn’t cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The city was placed into a short lockdown this week; however the upcoming match is due to take place at the time of this article’s publication.
