Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has given injury updates on James Maddison, Ben Chilwell and Ayoze Perez following the win against Crystal Palace.

At last the troubling winless run of Leicester City’s is no more. Crystal Palace were eventually the team to incur the inevitable wrath of this quality, youthful Foxes side.

Regardless of having a poor match by his standards, Jamie Vardy also scored his 100th and 101st Premier League goals. Foxes of Leicester offer our congratulations to the former England international.

Next up for the East Midlanders is a trip to Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. The Gunners are – finally – enjoying a decent succession of successes in premiership outings. Therefore it is a relief that Brendan Rodgers’ outfit has now returned to triumphant ways, even if it was only the one contest so far.

Leicester City injury updates

Following the Eagles clash Rodgers spoke to the assembled media. He answered a number of questions – including ones on the brilliant achievement of Jamie Vardy making it into the PL 100 club – about performance and squad status.

Unfortunately for Leicester City, Ben Chilwell – who had a heel injury which required an injection – and Ayoze Perez are doubtful for the match in North London. Although the duo will be assessed before the weekend to discover their fitness.

More worryingly for the Blue Army is the fact that integral midfielder James Maddison hasn’t recovered from his hip injury. The Foxes boss will also check Maddison’s status ahead of traveling to the capital. Arsenal are nine points and four places away from City in the league table.
