Now is the time to strengthen a club before the next season rapidly is upon us. Targeting Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic is Leicester City’s plan.

Not many games ago Leicester City were struggling to find the net, often relying on peripheral impact striker Kelechi Iheanacho to create and score. He deserves praise for his efforts – but is the Nigerian a potential long-term Jamie Vardy replacement? No, absolutely not. Not in this writer’s opinion, anyway.

This issue, with Vardy turning age-34 in January, is becoming pressing for the Foxes at this point. Some observers recently watching the East Midlanders probably perceived the former England player to already be on the scrapheap after waiting so long to join the Premier League 100 club.

Though Vardy’s instinct and quality shone through once more as he added three goals in two successive matches. It won’t last forever, this marvel, but Vardy still has something major to offer as an elite forward.

Leicester City target Real Madrid man

A player who could prospectively become the main man for Leicester in place of Vardy, is Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic. Although the Serbian international has struggled at Los Blancos, only netting twice, his talent is undoubted.

Daily Star have more details on Leicester’s and manager Brendan Rodgers’ interest in the 22-year-old. Foxes of Leicester believe he would be a great signing, especially for the inexpensive £31 million touted. Although Chelsea may stand in the Foxes’ way. Having European football to offer would increase Leicester’s chances of capturing the signature.
