Sadly for Leicester City they had some very bad news following the excellent defeat of Sheffield United, as three players will miss the rest of the season.

Sheffield United turned up at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium full of belief, pumped up with compliments and ready to defeat their opponents. Well, the Blades should have concentrated on effort and a game plan as opposed to believing their own hype.

In reality, the Foxes’ latest opposition were one of the worst of the season so far. Chris Wilder has obviously done a tremendous job at Bramall Lane, though they are a work in progress. Leicester are still at least one level above Sheffield Utd – on the northern outfit’s best day.

Leicester City’s worrying news

After Ayoze Perez expertly put the Foxes ahead of their Premier League rivals and Demarai Gray subsequently finished United off, Leicester’s entry to European competition was at last confirmed. Obviously this only means qualification to the Europa League at this point; although Brendan Rodgers’ side will hope fortune and momentum are now behind the team.

Spurs are next for the East Midlanders at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The North Londoners haven’t been on the most convincing of runs, yet they’ll be more than up for the challenge of the division’s fourth placed club.

However, Rodgers will be without starting eleven stars James Maddison, as well as Ben Chilwell. Veteran defender Christian Fuchs is also ruled out for the big clash.

Unfortunately none of the trio will feature for Leicester City again this campaign, according to media reports. Naturally this is a blow for Champions League expectations on Filbert Way.
