Unfortunately a Leicester City transfer target will not be joining the Foxes this summer. French World Cup winner, Florian Thauvin, has ruled out a move.

Regardless of Timothy Castagne being bought by Leicester City, and him being an astute buy, there are still at least two starting Foxes roles to fill. Ben Chilwell exiting left a definite void at left-back. While the right-winger slot is still vacant; with no disrespect intended to Ayoze Perez, who performs more efficiently in a central attacking spot.

One wingman that won’t be joining Leicester is French World Cup winner, Florian Thauvin. He personally confirmed to media that he’ll be staying with Marseille. With regard to Thauvin’s 15-month injury spell, this gamble wasn’t advisable anyway.

Leicester City are gladly, finally making moves

It is not all doom and gloom on Filbert Way, at all. Castagne has joined to make it three Belgium internationals at Leicester along with Youri Tielemans and Dennis Praet, as previously stated. Castagne’s versatility is desperately needed by Rodgers; maybe there will be a further attempt to employ a 3-4-2-1 formation. Consequently, the Belgium man can supply width and attacking support on the left or right-wing, depending on where James Justin is deployed.

Nevertheless, the feeling remains that the Recruitment department has not acted on some hot prospects and potential additions. There is still just over a month for Lee Congerton and his staff to sign some expertise as specialist role fillers.
